Bandmates

I met Alex Wong (co-producer, percussion, guitar, vocals) in 2002 when his duo (The Animators) played one song at a Just Plain Folks open mic. After years of guest appearances in each other’s bands, we started playing live together in 2007, which led to producing Inland Territory together in 2008. The Paper Raincoat, Alex’s project with Amber Rubarth, just released their debut album. He’s also producing albums for Ari Hest and Alex Berger.

Ward Williams (cello, electric guitar, vocals) is a founding member of the band Jump a.k.a. Jump, Little Children. He also has a solo project, and often plays as a duo with Christina Cone.

Previous Bandmates

• Alan Lin (violin, vocals) collaborates frequently with Noe Venable, as well as David Hopkins and Ariah Firefly.
• Claudia Chopek (violin, vocals) has toured with Vince Gill, Hem and many others, when not in New York playing Broadway productions and other local gigs.
• Dina Maccabee (violin, viola, vocals) is one half of the duo Ramon & Jessica.She also performs with Gamelan X and the Real Vocal String Quartet, among other things.
• Jessica Ivry (cello, vocals) performs with the Real Vocal String Quartet and Everyday Theatre.
• Marika Hughes (cello, vocals) played in the first VT trio and various configurations since. These days she keeps busy with Charlie Burnham and Two Foot Yard.
• Paul Brantley (cello, vocals) teaches at the Manhattan School of Music, and composes for various ensembles.
