Marina V. This is how I heard about Vienna in the first place. They played a show together back in May at the Hotel Cafe in Hollywood. I came to see Marina V and stuck around for Vienna. What can I say, the rest is history! I am a huge Vienna fan!

I thought I should return the favor and introduce Vienna fans to Marina V.
Besides being a very talented musician with a beautiful voice, she's one of the nicest artists/people.
Marina's & Vienna's music is similar in a way that both artists appeal to people who are smart and a little more sophisticated than, let's say, Jessica Simpson fans
I think Vienna fans will enjoy's Marina's introspective lyrics, her soulful voice and her songs in Russian, her native language.

I checked her out based on your suggestion, and I have to say I'm very impressed! She writes lovely lyrics and the sound of a lot of her songs is very haunting. I got her first CD... looking to get the 2nd for Christmas.

Laura, glad you loved her music. On the 1st CD I really like "Something of my own" and the Xmas song, and on the new one "Guardian Angel" and "Underneath Your Sky" and the one in Russian are just awesome.

I think Holy One is my favorite as of now... what rich imagery! That's my favorite thing in a song, and also why I like Vienna so much. Storms, silver sky, ancient forest... almost makes you shiver listening to it!

I agree "Holy One" is a great song. I also love the contrast of listening to "Just Another Sunday" and then the very upbeat "That's The Way It Goes" following it.

That's the Way it goes is great. I especially love the way Marina does it live, with a part of "maybe i'm amazed" in the middle.

I looked at Marina's tourdates and saw that she's going to be in Europe for a while.

Did you get the Russian bootleg yet? It's pretty cool, just wish I knew what songs were about.

I love the bootleg. I emailed Marina and she sent me all song titles, so now I know what to call the songs at least. hehe
I'm sure if you email her and ask, she'd do the same for you.

Thanks, I just emailed her and asked for track listing. Have you emailed "The Late Late Show" about getting her on the show yet?
I emailed her last week and asked when she would be in northern California. She said she should be up here this summer. I can't wait to see her live, have you seen her live yet?
