East Coast Tour:

Cute café? Bad bar? ... Cute barista!

Vienna is scheduled to perform at IOTA in Arlington, VA. tomorrow. I made all these plans to go drive an hour away just to watch her perform. Now, I am extremely frustrated since I recently found out that the restaurant, IOTA, only makes the shows limited to those 21+. I have been looking forward to her performance since forever and it really stinks that just because I am not 21, I can't watch her sing. *sigh* :o -_-

That's unfortunate! You should have come! IOTA is really lax on the ID. I think they only say that if you plan on drinking. I'm 21 and I didn't drink, but they didn't check my ID when they went around collecting money for the show.

I had actually called them beforehand. I said that I wasn't planning on drinking and that I am only a year from turning 21. But they insisted that was their policy and basically "too bad."

If Iota was less than an hour away, I really would've went and tried to get in despite the 21+ policy. But I didn't want to risk having to drive an hour back with disappointment.

How was the show by the way? Did you take photos?

The show was just fantastic! This tops my very small list of shows I've seen. My friend and I managed to snag a seat front row center! I took some random photos of the club, but didn't take any of Vienna. My camera has a powerful flash and I didn't want to distract her. However, Adam Tow was on the side documenting everything (hey, he's kinda cute!)

I wrote a really long entry on my LiveJournal. But I go into a lot of detail about each of the songs Vienna sings, so if you don't want to be spoiled, just stop at the track listings.

I live about 40 minutes from Arlington on a good day and my friend and I still managed to get lost for a good hour, heh. But it was worth it!

Everyone:

Thanks for coming out to the shows. Vienna's been having a great time touring the East Coast, and we've been amazed by the turnouts! As many of you know, there are pictures from the tour on my site:

Sarah, thanks for the recaps on the songs. I was able to catch one of Vienna's shows, in San Francisco.

Amazing the magic one person can spin with just a piano, a great natural voice and thought-filled lyrics.

A professor friend at University of Michigan hopes to catch her show when she gets to Michigan. I don't know if she will be going to that area though.

Speaking of ID's... A couple friends of mine didn't come because they are 20, and Eddie's Attic is 21+. Turns out, they could have come since they didn't check ID's that I saw. Ah well...

I've heard nothing but bad news about the Iota Club.

So its probably good you didnt give them any of your cash.
