"Everything's Fine"

Postby chigaijin » Sun Apr 15, 2012 5:14 pm

Anyone else remember this amazing song from Vienna and ambeR? Scot's wonderful database says it was performed four times, including Great American Music Hall 12/23/2010, but I swear I saw it once before that in the SF Bay Area. (Paper Raincoat show at Noe Valley, perhaps?)

This was a song from the "songwriter's retreat" way back in early 2010, IIRC...and was supposed to come out on CD. I actually mentioned it in an e-mail to ambeR at one point and got this response:

ambeR Rubarth wrote:Also, the song with Vienna is recorded (!!) and we should have the final mixes / mastering done in the next few weeks. We wrote and recorded it at that songwriting retreat in upstate New York (Vienna, Adam Levy, Joey Ryan, Jay Nash, Sara Jean Kelley, Alex Berger and I). I'll keep you posted!

...but that was almost two years ago now. Does anyone know what happened to this?

I actually have a video of the Noe Valley performance of that song. Haven't posted it because of the rules, but Amber did say that posting that song is all up to Vienna... she doesn't mind. I've since written Amber about the song several times. That record with all the songs from the retreat needs to come out! Last time I checked, it was done being mastered, and Amber said she'd let me know where to get it once it comes out. That was probably over a year ago. Amber's been very busy over the past year though, with the new solo projects and things. I should send another note sometime...
