I would not have found out there were some videos about another previous concert of VT in the same place in summer 2007 too if I haven't watched it !

this was a beautiful show! thanks for posting this; we were off to the side so we couldn't see vienna performing (even though we could tell she was enjoying it anyway)! :)

And one more thanks, John! Very nice! You know, I'm still kind of amazed at how willing Vienna is to allow recording and video at her shows, compared to a lot of other performers.

(Alright, I know I'm going to get in trouble for this post. Non-PC for sure! Anyway...)

I first became a fan of Vienna's by hearing her on the radio. When I saw her in 2003 I liked that she wasn't a record label creation, chosen first for her looks and second for her talent. She was cute in her own way, and always fresh and animated, but not someone I expected to have boy fans fawning over her.

But her facial features have matured, she's grown out her hair, and on this video all I can say is "Wow!" She is now nothing short of gorgeous! I just hope at concerts we can still get to see her at meet and greets without fighting through a crowd of boys hoping for her attention!

Hmmm, you know you've been to too many concerts when you can recognize what song it is by watching 5 seconds of the clip without sound... (Whatever You Want)

Actually, Vienna weighed in on this topic in an interview or two, as I recall. She downplayed her own looks as "on the cute side of plain" or "plain side of cute" or something like that, and at some point commented on working on her look (with a stylist? memory hazy). May have been around the time of the Gravity vid, which could be relevant. Lots of performers work on their looks as part of the job, and I'm sure women are under more pressure to do so than men, as they are in other walks of life. (Think of a really ugly but successful musician. No names, please. Man or woman?) Although I object to the double standard, I don't see glamming up (by either gender) as a sell-out, just part of show biz. Now, if Vienna changed her music just to make it more airworthy or whatever, that would be a sell-out, but it's pretty obvious that she just doesn't do that. Apparently her muse never says, "I don't hear a single". And as far as being PC goes, you could deny that you noticed Vienna's looks, but who would believe you? Might as well be honest. Last I noticed, you could still talk with her after a show, and your competition for her time would be at least as much female as male, so the fanboy army has not materialized.

No, I really don't expect a fanboy army. That was just an excuse for my comment! But I really do think it's more than her glamming up. Her facial features have changed in 6-1/2 years, just as they did between her college ensemble picture and then. I'm just sayin', it's a good change. And at my age (and marital status), I certainly don't have to worry about "competition" in the meet and greet line!

Me neither. I just meant that there wasn't an army of fanboys gathered around V preventing you from talking with her after a show. I don't expect it either, looks or no. Her music is way too sophisticated for that.
