Europe? - Amsterdam March 3, Milan March 6 2007

Any information about some concerts in Europe??? I think there were plans to come to Germany and the UK?
Unfortunately I could not make it to the Berlin concert last year.
I hope I will get a second chance.

She's coming to The Netherlands 03/03/07 and will be playing Paradiso in Amsterdam then. I'm so looking forward to it, will be my first VT concert (missed the one in 2005). Is she doing a full European tour then or is it a on-off? Can't seem to find the full gig-list for europe on the main site.

In addition to the Amsterdam show, a show in Milan is now scheduled for March 6.

You may like to give Vienna your suggestions on where to eat. :D

It will be my third concert of Vienna in the Netherlands *yay*

And about a restaurant.. there are so many funplaces to eat.. maybe the tiny esotheric on the Overtoom (streetname) is still there, it is located near nr. 301 (the big squat mansion). Oh if you want to take a picture of a nice squat house, be sure to check out Vrankrijk, Spuistraat 216 (link), you could eat there too but the visiters are extremely alternative if you know what I mean.

Saturday might be a little harder to get into some more classy restaurants though (I'm talking about the finer ones like the ones near the Spuistraat and the Central Station area (Jamie Oliver's restaurant Fifteen etc.)
..Oh wait the restaurant on the top floor of the Post CS building is awesome (it is called 11 - link), it ain't fancy and there is a fair chance there will be a spot without reservation, the view over the city is sooooo great (because there are very few other highrise buildings in the area). In the daytime the other floors are a modern museum and from midnight the topfloor is a techno club (only relaxed people, no dressed up folks).

*update*

The show at Paradiso in Amsterdam is sold out!

Vienna will also perform on a national radioshow called Muziekcafé (translated ofcourse: music cafe). I will be there too, the jingle to announce the show was played whole day today on Radio 2 (nationally very big). I got shivers everytime I heard Vienna's name at the office, I'm thinking.. what if she gets so big every inhabitant of the Netherlands knows her songs... I really hope it will happen but it gets also a bit less special..

The radioshow Muziekcafé has this website in Dutch but you can see it announced in the middle, with a link to this site. Also mentioned on the bottom is there will be pics of every show so keep an eye out for that.

The setlist will be posted.
A few pictures I will try to make.
I won't be recording but maybe there will be something online/via radio.

There weren't any gigs in Berlin, were there? Because I was just going to do an embarrassing beg-appeal sort of post for her to drop by Germany while she's over here in Europe.

Is there something like an *official* "Please come and play in..." thread? There seem to be a lot of those, but I'd rather post in one that's remotely likely to be read

No, there was nothing in Berlin for that short run of European shows. She did play in Berlin for the first time last December. You can see a link to the gig archive on the tour page. I think we would be amused by your beg-appeal though, you should go for it! ;)

This is the forum for it, no particular thread needed, although you might just want to add to the Places Vienna should play thread. You can also vote on the Eventful demand list, which you can find on Vienna's MySpace. Both here and there are checked and considered when the tour routing is being planned. And subscribing to the mailing list helps too. </shameless>
