Pain of Salvation

Pain of Salvation is a technical, accomplished heavy metal band with heart, brains, and the most amazing vocalist i've ever heard. There are no vulgar lyrics, but be warned at times the content and music is (appropriately) heavy and harsh.

The singer writes about serious topics, such as:

a young mother's attempted suicide (Rope Ends)
his wife's miscarriage (A Trace of Blood)
his sex addiction (Beyond the Pale)
a young girl's escape from her child molester father (In the Flesh)
his grandfather's death (Dedication)
reflecting on certain weekends in Budapest (Ending Theme)
desperate, pathetic, unrequited infatuation (Second Love)

These topics are dark, yes, but they handled with sensitivity that would surprise you. If a BIG fan of Pain of Salvation (like me) can get into Vienna Teng, then perhaps the reverse is possible too. I am posting this to encourage VT's audience to check out something entirely different, but with the same goal of depicting various aspects of the human experience.
