TheatreWorks Leading Ladies - Mountain View, CA Feb 7, 2015

Vienna built this set to fit the themes of the event, complementing the stories of finding your path and overcoming adversity which were told by the guest speakers, and also playing songs which were accessible to people hearing her for the first time. Stories between songs were equally multi-layered, talking about general situations while sometimes going into personal vignettes, and sometimes not.

Bridge Over Troubled Water
Whatever You Want
The Hymn of Acxiom
Drive
Landsailor
Goodnight New York
Ain't No Sunshine/Lose Yourself
Grandmother Song

She also referred to herself as a "walking triumph of feminism". :-D (talking about her privilege and relative lack of obstacles throughout her life)

We'll get some recordings up so all that banter can be experienced...for now, photos:

snoopet - clip of "Grandmother Song"

Erik's and my photos

There was a busy house photographer there, so hopefully they'll put up an official photo album of the whole event.

I've always thought of Vienna as a visionary in more ways than one. Now she's even coming to us from the future! Too bad I have plans on the 27th - looks like it's going to be a great show!

Ooh, I wanna go to that show too! :D

Fixed the date, thanks! I'll leave the rest of the bad ones for mass confusion/so I don't accidentally delete people's posts...

Official photos are available to view and purchase! A selection of them were put on SF Gate, but Vienna wasn't included.
To see everything, click the All Photos view. See just photos of Vienna, and see a forum group photo.

I also posted a video of "Drive" on VTTV.

Oh my goodness, where have I been? Lost in the ozone, I guess. Or maybe moving from Charlotte, NC to just outside Nashville, TN. Yeah, maybe that.

Anyway, it is good to finally drop by and check in here & thanks as always for sharing all the things posted here. I think I have some viewing & listening to catch up on!

Charlotte's loss is Nashville's gain, I suppose. We'll miss you, Chris! I know there's probably more music there - I hope you can find the type of scene you so helped to create here in NC. Good luck in the new location!
