First of all, I have to thank Linus a million for getting me to this show. I just arrived in Frankfurt that morning. We spent a few hours in the afternoon cycling downtown, had a great meal, then off to Kassel. He was a great host and I finally got to experience the infamous autobahn to boot!

The venue was a round, possibly permanent building with a tent roof and it was packed. I'd estimate somewhere between 800-1000 people! And what an audience it was - probably one of the best audience I've ever seen at a VT show. They were completely into the music and the conversation; they kept time extremely well, jingled their keys at the right moments, sang harmony, and got the band out for two encores and one extra bowing session. They could give the average US audience a lesson or two. So,
because of this and the great interaction between the band and audience, and of course the extremely good musicianship, this was a truly memorable show - besides being my first VT show in another country and one for which I crossed two oceans! (OK, I had a meeting eslewhere in Germany the following week, so I'm not COMPLETELY crazy...) ;)

Hi Scot,

nice to hear that you enjoyed your Vienna Teng concerts in Germany that much. And I am sure next time you will cross two oceans for a Vienna concert even without a business meeting in Germany
