Did not get to catch the whole show because of traffic and packed-in dinner venue beforehand. I think we only caught the last 6 or 7 songs.
Venue seemed like it was at least 50-60% full, but it was dark. VT seemed to be pleased with the turnout. The volume was a wee bit too loud for it though. Caused some distortion when the instruments got loud. Sound engineering issue. Or possibly my aging ears.
Crowd was great and seemed to like the show.
My date had heard her CDs, and had not seen her live, and she said that she really liked the show, particularly Augustine and Grandmother Song. Reminded her of her own grandmother. She got a kick out of Alex "multitasking," doubly so because he looked like her cousin, who is also named Alex.
I'm not sure the funny effects machine really enhanced the performance all that much. Seemed to me more like a distraction for Vienna than anything else. But that's only my opinion. Reasonable persons will certainly differ.
Best guess at the partial set list as I remember it was (not in order):
The Last Snowfall, Grandmother Song, Harbor, The Tower, Idioteque (Encore), Augustine, Stray Italian Grayhound. Might have missed 1. Not sure how late we were.
