Taylor Roberts Music

Since Cookie and Ginny mentioned Taylor Roberts, that gave me a good lead in to tell you more. Taylor is a guy who is pretty well known in the North Carolina area. You can check out Taylor and his group at "Taylorrobertsmusic.com" He is a little similar to Vienna in that the path he has taken into music is kinda similar to Vienna's, he is passionate about music, has some really good tunes, is a hard worker and nice person. (He is different from Vienna, in that he is a GUY, plays acoustic guitar, and is more towards a rock sound.... and... nobody but Vienna..... is Vienna.) Hey, he did work the sound and lights for her at her show at Six String in Raleigh in April so there's a little tiny Vienna connection there

His first CD "Picture the Scene" is really good, with great songs like:
"Give Up Yourself", "Whisper Away" and "Love You Still"

He has a new CD "This Weather" coming out soon. The release for that one will be June 4 at the Six String Cafe in Raleigh, NC. He will be in Charlotte, NC on June 26. Brother Henry (who have performed with Vienna several times) will be opening on June 26 for the Taylor Roberts Music gang. He'll also be in NYC in Sept. and even in Vienna, Virginia on June 17. "Vienna", get it? Wow, there's more Vienna connections than I thought, lol.

Did you go to Taylor's CD release concert at 6 String last night? His cover of an Usher song was so funny, and Mark also did a rap song. I thought it was so hilarious. Taylor did a good show last night.

Sounds like a good show! I couldn't go to the show at Six String last night b/c I had a gig, and when he plays in Charlotte on 6/26 I'll be out of town. I hope I get to see him at some point and am also really hoping to see Kyler when she reschedules in Cary! ~Ginny

Hi Cookie.... No, I was not able to make it to the Six String Friday. I was in NYC and Phiily for 10 days (it was a BLAST) so could not get to Raleigh. I'll be at his Charlotte show in a couple weeks. It should be really fun. (I'm not sure I wanna see Taylor doin Usher and joining in any rappin though....wow. I think maybe we'll all be better off if he keeps that side of himself hidden, lol.)

Kyler will be playing at six string on sept. 3rd, at 8 pm. I would recommend gettting there early since she always packs the house.

...and if you have a lot of $$$$, she is going to be opening for Sting and Annie Lennox on Sept. 4th at the Alltel Pavilliaon in Raleigh.
