Possible titles for Vienna's 4th. album

Postby Rotkehlchen » Sat Feb 16, 2008 3:17 pm

What might Vienna's next album be called?

Recalling Ang Mo's post of Wed Oct 12, 2005 and re-reading Vienna's recent Scrapbook entries inspired the following (I prefer the first):
    Inconvenient Fireworks

    Wandering Children

    Grubby Fingers

    Huckleberry Friends

Further ideas?

Oh, my, "Grubby Fingers" really made me laugh. Thanks, R, I needed that! I don't think that title would attract newcomers, but it's certainly unique. :) ~Ginny

It might initially hook 70's Stones fans, though ... who would discover that Vienna's music is rather ... different.

Wow, somebody took the time to read a post I made from Oct 2005!!!
Vienna Teng is my heroine, but Rotkehlchen is my hero.

No one guessed back then that the 3rd album would be called: Dreaming through the Noise. Nobody came close.

I am sure that the next album will have a title none of us will guess.

But since I like to make suggestions I will give some new ones for the fourth album.

1. ABC (which means American Born Chinese) it sounds catchy.

2. Nobody Does it Better (Vienna finally performs the cover song on the album that I think she should sing)

3. Teenage Radioactive Black Belt Singing Hobbit (It sounds insane so I like it.)

4. The Coronation of Vienna (Sounds like a book title.)

5. Now Four

Five titles that probably won't be used, but I had to give it the old college try.

Ang Mo, I personally like #2 and #3 on your new list. #2 because it seems quite fitting for Vienna (from this Tenghead's POV), and #3 because it's just funny. #1 sounds interesting, though, if she decided to delve into the world of Asian pop for inspiration.

I'm usually good at coming up with random titles, but alas, not for Vienna.

In that same thread (on Dec 07, 2005),

I imagine Vienna reading this thread on her MacBook:
"D**n! They came up with the album title I'd chosen! Now I'll have to look for a new title even Ang Mo on double diet coke can't guess."

It will be a snap for her. She has a very fertile and imaginative mind. After all, had she not chosen music she would probably work for the Central Intelligence Agency. "Frau Sudoku" not sure of how that is spelled would have been her German code name.

She would of course where the trench coat with the wrap around sunglasses. Standard spy ware.

Hmm, I don't think Vienna's the only one here with a fertile and imaginative
mind, Sir Chairman! ;)

Vienna's recent (11th. April) scrapbook entry here, I’ll send you elsewhere leads me to suggest

I don't know, the one song she put out there reminded me of kind of a skewed title for a movie.

Hrm, I'll take a stab at it, just for fun. :) The loop that Vienna posted on her scrapbook leads me to believe that she's adopting and embracing more of a global sound. I mean, she's using more unique instruments and arrangements from all over the world.

I'm sure that Vienna also grows with every song and every album, so my suggested titles imply that of freedom or growth. Not just a cultural, geographic exploration (if that makes sense...) but a personal one. Geographic growth means that she has recently been travelling across the globe a lot more for awesome tours! :)

Suggested titles:
1. Uncharted Reverie
2. Velvet voices, world of wonders
3. Fourth Fugue
4 .Patterns of my Wings
5. Pandemic Possibilities

Haha, these are all very sappy. The fourth one is b/c of the patterns on butterflies' wings. Vienna often reminds me of a butterfly. She has all these beautiful traces coming from her, with her music and all...Butterflies also represent freedom, which I'm sure she's found through her songs. :)
