What should the short name of the new version of Gravity be?

Postby Digital » Tue Apr 10, 2007 2:28 am

Vienna's been playing a new version of Gravity, which she has described as the "Pajama, Tye-Dye socks and fedora hat" version. Barring intervention by Vienna herself, I think we ought to have a short name for this version to distinguish it from the normal and lake versions.

Any thoughts?

The PTF version? Personally, I think it's rather "epic" how they play it, so that might be appropriate. It also reminds me of the opening song of The Lion King, so maybe it's the lion version. :-)

I vote just the fedora version, simply because fedora hats are amazing. And epic.

In the water theme, I vote "Creek".

It starts with "Lake" and then flows.

I just listened to a recording from archive.org. I like it! Trying to think of a good name. It is definitely like the Lake version, but more zest filled, and I agree "flowing." It is like you have the lake version, but experience more. Only thing I can think to add to the view of a lake to make it better is fine scenery, or a nice breeze.

"Lake Breeze" version?
"Lake Imagery" version?
others?

And I would have thought you'd vote for PTF since it refers to the socks you gave her via my brother...she kind of made up this version at the Bend Yoga Studio show, maybe it's the Bend version?

It's the "Just Around the River Bend" version.

Instead of gravity. Just "grav" version.

I heard her play it last night on a grand piano and it was amazing! I don't know what to call it, but I'm sure glad I know what you all are talking about now!

I haven't heard the song...is there going to be a link to it? I just think it'd be interesting to do a "Sky Version" or something...falling out of the sky. But the Pajama Tye-Dye fedora thing is original :)

You know, after all the names, shouldn't someone just ask Vienna what she thinks?

Whoever's going to the next upcoming concert should give her the compiled list of names thus far, just for laughs. <3
