New browser - help requested

Postby Fred » Wed Feb 25, 2009 4:00 am

I recently ran into problems with my old browser and upgraded to IE7 and Firefox 3. I'd like to use FF for everything, but it has a problem on this site, specifically that it can't use the navigation bar. For instance, if I'm on the main page and click on "Forum", nothing happens. (I got to the forum by entering the URL directly; once here, the forum works normally.) Obviously I'm missing something in my installation, but what? Any help appreciated. (My IE7 shows a message on an altered nav bar that tells you to use FF--but it works. My IE6, back when it worked at all, worked perfectly on this site.)

Your FF3 is probably missing the Flash plugin.

If all else fails you could always use Chrome. :D

Thanks; I'll give Flash a shot. Odd, tho. I'm used to my browser telling me I needed Flash, or an upgrade, when that was the case. Didn't happen this time. I'll re-post when I know.

Yep, that was it. Works like a charm. Thanks, tanthalas!
