Fortunately he and his road manager are okay. Sounds like a miraculous escape.

You're right, that is unbelieveable. When I was reading the story I was thinking of how sweet Marc Cohn was to 2 kids in the front row of one of the NC shows last fall. I'm glad he is okay after that narrow escape. ~G

Sounds like a miracle he wasn't killed. He must be very fortunate and lucky to escape taking a "dirt nap" in a situation like that.

I'm not a religious person, but you can't help but wonder if there weren't a couple of guardian angels present - maybe even ones named Jack and Tim...

To Marc and Tom, best wishes for a full and speedy recovery, in every sense of the word.

And an aside to Vienna - please, please be careful out there on the road.

When reading this, it makes me feel like to look for definitions of "angel" and "guardian angel" ...
My mother told me a personal story and I interpret that into something like :
- the first visible guardian angels are your parents, be they in their living time or not, wherever you are, at war or on the road .... ;)
I can imagine we call our little mom/dad when we are far away and say ... "I love you". sniff
