A great day today.

Postby Ang Mo » Wed Nov 07, 2012 6:41 am

President Obama defeating Mitt Romney has made my day. I am elated and happy, with a sense of optimism for the future. It is a great relief to me. Another thing that has cheered me up are these old tv commercials they put on youtube. So much more amusing then the ones they have now. These just make me happy.

Watch this first one http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gAcqi9WbVV0&feature=related

Then this one http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qLL62iJhc88

and the final one http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Nm7uX1DjmrY&feature=related

I love that guys face how he doesn't smile at all and shows no emotion with chaos and destruction about him and then they bring him the beverage and he's satisfied and happy showing emotion. I can relate to that feeling with tonights election results.

I'm glad that you're happy, Ang Mo. Personally today has pretty much struck me with a sigh of relief. I only hope that we can begin healing as a nation and see real evidence from Washington that our federal governmental process can make some progress on the many problems that we still face. Because of the unaccurate feeling of too many of our populus that one office holder deserves all of the credit or blame and the tendency of the media to focus only on that one person on a national level, I am still worried for our future.

There is much still to be done. There's talk of working together from some on both sides. I hope and pray that talk turns to real action.

Let's hope all of Washington work together to keep the country from going over the so called fiscal cliff. I hear it is a real steep drop.

One last commercial. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Njs8qzxrXxM and of course the soundtrack I want played at either my wedding or funeral which ever takes place first composed by the great Oliver Onions

It brings memories of happiness back watching movies as a kid.
