Anyhow, enough of the pleasant imagery. As I wheez and gag and get my breath back I was kind of thinking if Vienna posed on a album cover with a strange form of transportation I was kind of thinking of this new sports car made in Spain.

Mr. Chairman, the forum is just generally kind of quiet lately. Threads are not getting very long. Nothing specific about this one, I don't think. I wouldn't take it personally.

Hopefully, everybody has been so busy interacting with other people actually during the holidays that their time for interacting virtually has been challenged, and things will pick up again in the New Year. I know my own time gets very stretched during the fall, and I've got a backlog of Other Fine Cuisine to report on (including a Joan Osborne concert in August whose writeup for some reason reached novelistic proportions and I didn't have time to cut).

Or maybe everyone has turned to facebook or twitter. I do not care for either. I like the forum. Call me old fashioned I guess. Vienna is still roaming around and doing concerts so she is balancing school and music fairly well I would say.

Such big evnets as of late. Mr. Cheng got married. I was impressed. It has been a long time since I had surfed over to his website. Now that I have high speed internet I can once again appreciate his site. It was just to hard to load using dial up. Anyhow he seems a lot happier compared to the Mr. Cheng who was lamenting over past heartbreaks a few years ago. He was relating to the Tony Leung character in Chungking Express I remember if my diet coke soaked brain processed the info correctly.

I'll admit to spending too much time on FB, but I'm still posting here at a good clip. I do sense, however, that there are fewer regular posters than, say, a year ago, and social media sites might have something to do with it. I was around for the demise of another performer's listserv (the DarList, which was pretty famous in its time), and it was sad. In fact, I posted the last concert report on it, about a year ago. I wouldn't want to see that happen here. This is a special group of people.

Yeah, Vienna is apparently thriving in her new life. And, you know what, I just love it. Obviously I wasn't around for the last time she was a student/musician, but somehow it just seems right for her. She needed the years she spent full time in music to become a real professional, but now she's been there and done that (and got the t-shirt, really!), and if she plays her cards right she can spend the rest of her life doing only as much music as she wants, with complete artistic freedom. And save the environment, too. How cool is that?

I didn't know Eric got married. Gosh, his wife is gorgeous! He's another one living an amazing life.

I mean it seemed to me he had a multitude of women. I thought maybe he would marry that Clara girl or maybe he was angling for that Lynn girl but he ended up marrying the right girl, that Pam girl. The right one for him. They look super happy and are having a blast. God bless them, I love a happy ending.

It's been ages since I been on the forum too! However, after stumbling on mr. cheng's site I did see he that he got eloped!

Haven't seen Vienna live since, well, 2007.... so gonna change that with her show at WCL this March. I could take a hike up to Bell's House in nyc..

Oh, crap! I just checked the "dictionary" definition of "nuptial" and although the first one listed is "of marriage - related to marriage or wedding", the second is "of animal breeding - relating to mating or breeding in animals".... yikes! (or so the Microsoft Word research function states)

Now in California for one month, I wished there were some VT performance around San Diego....sigh...
