That's DOCTOR Ginny to you, pal! :)

Postby rahau » Sun Oct 24, 2010 8:18 am

It's official, folks: Earlier this week, our esteemed forum moderator Ginny successfully defended her doctoral dissertation. We wretched peasants will now address her (in properly grave tones of deference and respect) as DOCTOR Ginny! In fact, I'd say some bowing and scraping is in order. :)

I just can't tell you how proud I am of Doctor Ginny. Earning a doctorate -especially in music - is never a walk in the park. But she overcame some daunting obstacles that would have defeated a lesser person. Her doctorate is a testament not just to her knowledge and abilities, but to her character.

Big congratulations to Doctor Ginny!

Can we just abbreviate that to "Doctor Gin" though? ;)

@ Bob: Thanks!

@ Reileen: You can just stick with Ginny if you like. :) I didn't even plan to finish the degree so now it just feels really weird to be done!

This is wonderful news! Congratulations, Ginny!

Congratulations Ginny, I know that Stuckey the cat played a role in teaching you patience in getting the doctorate by challenging you when he or she took his or her claws and punctured the waterbed. What's a cat suppose to do?

I should say, Dr. Ginny, and I already know you are more valid than Dr. Phil.

Well done!

Oh wow! That's wonderful news, Dr. Ginny. What a great accomplishment. All my best to you.

P.S. - Careful. Don't give Vienna any ideas, or she may disappear into academia for a few more years. Then again, Dr. Teng does have a certain ring to it...
