I rarely post random links here (or, don't think I ever have), but this was just too good to not share with this audience. "Unexpectedly Misty-Eyed" is definitely an apt description.

I've been a Calvin & Hobbes fan since forever. A framed copy of the last strip (Dec. 31, 1995: "It's a magical world, Hobbes, ol' buddy… Let's go exploring!"), cut by my mother from the Sunday Asbury Park, NJ, Press, is on my office wall.
