Lullabye for a Stormy Night and Moon River would be cool too.

I hereby suggest that we petition Vienna to do a cover album with all the songs mentioned here. :DDDD

Last time I talked to her I did ask her to do a CD of all her songs that were skipped over in previous CDs... You know, decent home studio recording type things... (OK, so I just want a really good recording of Signal Fire :) ) Maybe it could be a pair with all her covers on the second (probably have more rights problem with that one though).

Wishful thinking I know.

Ooh, definitely something I've never heard before, a song that's not on any of her CDs. Like "Abound" or "Under the Lights" (browsing Scot's incredible Vienna Teng page as I try to decide :P).

As for a cover, I'm drawing a blank at the moment ... it'd be interesting to hear something in another language, though. I mean, it's fairly easy to sing Japanese even if you don't speak it.

Merry Christmas everyone! I haven't gotten around to changing my time zone, so it's not the 25th yet, technically.

Brass in Pocket by the Pretenders, the piano version by Vienna Teng. Then play Shasta.

I always thought Vienna would do a good cover of "A Thousand Miles" by Vanessa Carlton...

I'd request Shasta, then "Eccentric" by After Forever.

Vienna had a little extra time before the show last Saturday, and we asked her to play a couple of your requests. Not everything is filled, but there's always next time :D Check out "Nothing Without You" and "Transcontinental, 1:30am" completely unplugged and on the Steinway over on VTTV.

Oh wow, that's awesome! Loved the intro and the random talks.

Favorite line (at the moment): "The internet rules! With a Z." (so I guess I should have quoted it as "the internet rulez" ;)

Hmmm ok, my next goal is to be able to get in on the pre-show stints! :D

I'd go for Green Island Serenade.

As for cover... Ben by Michael Jackson.

I must amend my old response to:
Cover:
Lakes of Canada (Innocence mission)

Though Latter Days (Over the Rhine) would be good if she could make a nice piano part for it, but it is less amenable to her style.
