Another singer I follow, Dar Williams, has also been passionate about the environment, albeit in an artsier, less scientific way than Vienna. Dar has a new blog on environmental topics on Huffington Post which some may find interesting. The latest entry is on small-scale hydropower, which I think is pretty neat.

Here's another one, on electric cars. I think they are coming, with plug hybrids leading the way. I agree with Dar that we need the Koreans (or maybe the Chinese) to make them affordable; Toyota has lost that art.
