Yeah, the ABC7 article that I linked was just a rehash of the AnnArbor.com one that you linked. I was just happy to see Vienna get some NYC press coverage. That's very hard to come by. To give you an example, the night Vienna played the Highline last week, Marshall Crenshaw was at City Winery and James Maddock was at Rockwood (where he seems to live nowadays). Within blocks of each other, in other words. On a Wednesday in August when everybody is supposedly out of town in the Hamptons. There's that much music in NYC. And none of those shows were listed in the Times. I guess the good side of being a musician in NYC is lots of community and lots of places to play. The bad side is it's hard to stand out. For every Grizzly Bear there must be 100 Brooklyn indie bands that sound pretty similar, and never get anywhere.
