Kate and Tori albums in the same year! Wow! Although I am anticipating the Kate Bush one more than Tori's album (yes, because of the rarity). I'll bet even Tori is waiting for Kate's album with much anticipation, seeing how she was so influenced by Kate Bush in her early "Y Kan't Tori Read" days.

This is the post that Vienna originally replied to indirectly with a Scrapbook entry about if she were to make a mix tape. I think Vienna might have found this review kind of irritating, but hopefully just in a mosquito bite kind of way. Yes I agree that it seems to be a rather short-sighted post. I...

I don't know why but for some reason she reminds me of a gecko lizard in this picture. Is that what she's doing? A gecko lizard impression?

Ha ha, yes I agree with your views that people who lip synch live (unless they lost their voice or something), really suck. Usually, those kids are good at shakin' their booty but not such good singers and not really musicians at all! Elton John made a comment (although I think he apologized for it ...

Yeah, I know what you mean about upon listening to the CD, it doesn't seem to "get you" on the first listen. I would say she is definitely a show to watch live, I would rather watch her live than buy her CD (I actually don't own a copy of her CD, there's limited distribution here in Canada right now...

Hmm... I think you're right Ginny. Seems like Loreena McKennitt has stopped making CDs for now... I hope she will be inspired again one day to make music. Maybe she's just spending her time on other projects or just living her regular life right now... music as a profession can be so all-time consum...

oh yeah, Loreena McKennitt for sure.... every Canadian knows who she is (well, almost anyway). i heard Loreena McKennitt is coming out with an 18min. DVD, sort of a mini-documentary or something like that.... not on her life but on her creative process or something in the studio. i wonder what she i...

Sorry to interrupt the camera equipment thread briefly eric & klaorman.... not sure if i should start a new thread or not. so i didn't. i went to see Rachael Yamagata tonight in Toronto @ the El Mocambo. there wasn't a lot of publicity for the show so the turnout was quite moderate and it was largel...

She's playing a free show here in Toronto on Monday at the El Macombo. Not sure if it's free to general public or only to "industry people by invitation"... I think I might check it out!
