I was hoping Ang Lee would concentrate more on ABC stories to try to get a few more Asian Americans on the American movie screen but maybe it is not a matter of wanting too but perhaps having the clout to do it. I don't know. Oh, I think Ang Lee has the clout. I saw a recent Q&A session with hi...

Um, sorry to interrupt this political conversation but I wanted to post about a movie I saw a while ago... I saw an early screening of Lust, Caution in December. That's Ang Lee's most recent film, for those who are keeping score. It was an exquisitely executed film, with stellar performances ...

Most recently I watched The Cat Returns , which is a Studio Ghibli film (best known for animated films directed by Hayao Miyazaki, including My Neighbor Totoro, Princess Mononoke, and Spirited Away). This was not, however, a Miyazaki enterprise but one directed by a new first-time director. I think ...

Well, here in England they sometimes refer to buses as "coaches", so that was the first thing that popped into my mind when I read that.

The first thing that came to mind was The Green Planet Serenade Tour.

The Green Caravan Tour is probably my favorite of the other suggestions I've heard so far.

Pan's Labyrinth is amazing, definitely one of the best films I've seen all year. The only thing I would warn people about is that if you're expecting a fairytale, you may be disappointed. The film is actually very much grounded in reality and there are parts in both the fantasy and the reality that...

The show sounds like it was absolutely marvelous. I'm sad I couldn't be there, but making a trip from England really wouldn't have been feasible for me. It sounds like it was a tremendous success - thanks to everyone for sharing photos, and I can't wait to see the DVD! :D

The stories posted so far have been pretty intense. I certainly don't envy these people their experiences, but it does sort of make me realize that I could probably never win a contest like this because I haven't experienced all that much tragedy in my life.

Some albums I enjoyed from 2006: Regina Spektor - Begin to Hope Jenny Lewis and the Watson Twins - Rabbit Furcoat (it was long ago, but I think it was released in January?) The Decemberists - The Crane Wife Keane - Under The Iron Sea (though not as much as their debut album) Albums I suspect I would...

Thanks for taking the time to read all these questions and write so many responses! To answer your question: If you ever do come to Cambridge (the original, not the one in Massachusetts :P ), then you must try Cotto . England is not a country best represented by its cuisine, but this place actually ...

I have to agree that the album took a number of listens to grow on me. Several months later, I still don't really like to listen to it straight-through, which is kind of strange because I've come to love the vast majority of the individual songs. Instead, I find myself picking out certain songs and ...

Hi Vienna!

Do you ever get tired of playing some of your songs night after night, and if so, do you do anything to try to make them interesting again?

Thanks for taking time out to answer our questions!

Another non-drinker here. I'm also caffeine-immune, as apparently Vienna is! I do like the smell of coffee and will sometimes have a mocha or some other ridiculously sweet concoction that more closely resembles a candy bar than coffee, but my preferred drinks at cafes are chai lattes and hot chocola...

Twice, the same number of tours she's done in the UK.

That number would definitely increase if she returned!
