Re: This week's Movie review......

Saw PROMETHEUS last night. The highly anticipated Alien "origin" movie by Ridley Scott. Personally, I was disappointed. It's not that impressive at all. They do got some really great eye candies, my favorites were those nature shots at the beginning of the film. The film itself suffered wi...

Tiffany Eugenio (Tiffyiffyiffy)

Got this from a recommendation in a local forum. She's a Filipina based in Canada. A Youtube sensation. She's got a fantastic voice. Not sure if she had recorded any album but she did had an original song. We Found Love (Rihanna cover) It Will Rain (Bruno Mars cover) Saving All My Love (Whitney Hous...

And at the end of the wedding, they step on an empty can of diet coke... which Ang Mo is still not willing to give up.

@aaparallel, it's a shame that Legendary Amazons was made in such a horrible way. To add insults to injuries, I'm a Yang myself and those amazons are probably my ancestors... or responsible for protecting my ancestors. Hehe. Anyway, I just saw The Flowers of War last night. Another film by one of th...

One of the very few movies that I remembered watching when I was around 5 or 6 was this HK martial arts/drama film called The 14 Amazons . While I don't remember much of the film, I do remember the main story and that awesome human bridge they did. Although the human bridge thing does border ridicul...

Seo In Young, check out her voice.

I stumbled upon this girl when going over a South Korean rapper's video in youtube. I don't understand Korean but heck, this girl can hit those high notes... really well.

Bubble Love

Oh... I quite like the song too.

Try reading Amy Tan's The Joy Luck Club and also watch the movie adaptation of the book, also same title. It tells the tale of 4 Chinese mothers who migrated to the US and the US born daughters. While I haven't read the Chinese Mothers article nor Vienna's response (perhaps a link), I myself am of C...

I think you mean "How?", heard that one too. Wasn't particularly impressed either. I find the voice of this Chinese Super Girl (China's version of American Idol for female) named He Jie so much better. Although not as good as Jane Chang. Here's He Ji sampling Britney's Everytime . She mana...

Amanda Marshall

Check this Canadian out. I discovered her a month or so ago while browsing through YouTube. The songs are from the mid 90's but what a great voice.

Beautiful Goodbye

Let It Rain

If I Didn't Have You

She's got a few more great songs.

I guess if Natalise did her Britney-styled singing in Burma she would have been very popular just like Lee Hyori in SoKor. :D

Personally, I'm not really impressed by her voice and her song is not exactly a cut above the rest or at least it didn't interest me much.

Excellent choice Ben! I thought the spinning girl had some real talent even though the movie I saw her in, BLOOD was not that good. Not that good? Blood had some really great cinematography but I think the film as a whole was just horrendous. If you want to see her act, watch her psycho-supernatura...
