Re: Freight and Salvage, Berkeley, Dec 26, 2014

Just wanted to say thank you to Vienna for the beautiful shows and to all of you who made the shows as well as the internet broadcast possible. Had to get up at 3 am to watch it, but it was really worth it.
Happy New Year again from Germany!

Musee Mecanique

No, this is not about the San Francisco museum but about a band from Portland, Ore., who have apparently named themselves after that museum. Ever heard of them? Their current release, "From Shores of Sleep", is one of the most beautiful and fascinating pieces of music I've ever listened to...

Re: Freight and Salvage, Berkeley, Dec 26, 2014

Great, thanks! I just bought my tickets. Will Alex or Jordan join? So this is a place for requests? Well, here are mine, in no particular order: 1. The entire Waking Hour album. 2. The entire Warm Strangers album. 3. The entire Dreaming through the Noise album. 4. The entire... well, you get the ide...

Freight and Salvage, Berkeley, Dec 26, 2014

Just read the announcement on Twitter that Vienna continues her beloved tradition this year. Oh you lucky American fans... Another beloved tradition of the Freight and Salvage concerts is of course that they were made available to Tengsters worldwide by the miracle called Internet. Are there plans t...

Re: Two fine talents from Down Under

Kate has a new album out, an independent, crowd-funded production called "O Vertigo!" Highly recommended if you like her singing style.
(Among the crowd that funded this album was, ahem, me.)

Re: Level Up Video

It looks like the delightful Lindsey Stirling has drawn some inspiration from the Level Up video: http://youtu.be/DHdkRvEzW84 Although I obviously like Lindsey very much it remains a bit saddening that every music video she puts on YT immediately goes viral while the beautiful Level Up video is stil...

Cafe Bistro am Eckweg, Heppenheim (Germany), Oct. 30, 2013

A very special event in support of an excellent cause - a local project that helps people who had developed mental problems find their way back into life. No ticket fees, "only" donations, with Vienna donating all record sales proceeds from the evening to the project. Many current and form...

Fabrik, Hamburg, Oct. 28, 2013

The Hamburg concert was different from the other two I had been to as there was a support act, a local band named Cate's Leila. Since it was already 9:50 PM when Vienna entered the stage they played without intermission until the encore. So here is the setlist. Trio unless indicated otherwise. 1. Ha...

Seems like Never Look Away is remaining safely tucked away, so far.

She must have played this at least in Kaiserslautern, according to the soundcheck video on YT.

16. In the Creases (requested from the audience; Alex seemed somewhat surprised that anyone actually knows his songs!) Hi Konrad, the "anyone" was actually, ahem, me... :) Glad you liked the show. I might add that the guy who announced Vienna, possibly the owner of the venue, said that he...

Re: Cafe Hahn, Koblenz (Germany), Oct. 15, 2013

I was absolutely delighted to find Alex' solo album as well as The Paper Raincoat at the merch stand at Cafe Hahn. To my best knowledge, both CDs are otherwise unavailable in this country (Paper Raincoat can be found as mp3 on A....n, didn't check for i....s). "A City On A Lake" is runnin...
