Re: Sheet Music Status topic

DBeattie, thank you for your hard work! Excited to see that things are in motion, even if not officially.

(I really just want the sheet music to Landsailor, maybe sold as a one-off like Gravity was, IIRC. :D )

Re: Throckmorton Theater - Mill Valley, CA November 8, 2015

Among many other things, thank you for sharing your anniversary stories with us, Erik & Michele! Great to see you last weekend! Indeed, this community wouldn't be as vibrant without your indefatigable help and contribution. I was giddy that she played Gravity (braid version) that night. Like you...

Freight & Salvage - Dec. 26, 2014

Some very quick, mostly unedited snaps. Will share more thoughts on the two shows soon in the Performances thread! In short: the first show was fun, the second was poignant & powerful. Great to see you all and to feel the presence of Warm Strangers tuning in from all over the world! :) EDIT: Hm....

Re: Club Cafe July 9, 2013

I think Vienna herself once said that, in retrospect, she was kind of embarrassed at that "overcome me, baby" part in Momentum , precisely for the reasons you've mentioned, CMoore. (But don't quote me on that! I'm not sure where I heard this!) My "whoa" refers to the fact that sh...

Re: Freight & Salvage (Berkeley, CA)

Just wanted to say that Freight & Salvage currently has a photo of Vienna on their website's main page, the fourth image of the slide show. This image is from the December 2011 shows. So cool that they'd choose to feature Vienna out of all the awesome performers that play there! :)

Oops, I think I was supposed to post the photos in the other thread for all the media-related stuff? Sorry!

Again, very nice to see you and Erik again, Michele! I'm really curious to see how that one cell phone shot in the restaurant turned out! :p

Too many wonderful things to say about the Freight & Salvage shows! Still processing my gratitude to those who've welcomed, hosted, transported me (not just physically! ;)) around while I visited NorCal. I'll post more thoughts in a moment. Here's some shots from sound check and the concert: htt...

Peter Bradley Adams

I've been listening a lot to Peter Bradley Adams lately. I know that some of you have seen him perform with Vienna, but I didn't find a thread dedicated to him. Adams reminds me of Gregory Alan Isakov and Josh Radin-- a contemplative, winding-through-the-midwest kind of sound. Some of his songs are ...

Hi Colombina! Welcome to the forum. :) Your reseeding efforts are so inspiring that I just wanted to thank you for sharing them. Wow, your entire bonus? Aww, that's so nice! I think you're off to a great start-- donating your time can be just as effective and valuable as giving money. I'm in the sam...

By the way, is it really pronounced "vee-log"? I always thought it was monosyllabic, like 'blog'...? I have no idea, but yours sounds more accurate. Oops :D Haha! Nah, I'm pretty sure that Vienna is correct. Her Awesome Quotient is a lot higher than mine. Anyway, sorry-- I was just pickin...

Sounds like it was such a great show! So many sing-along numbers and, wow, what an encore list! I'm jealous y'all got to hear In the Creases live and Seedling #1?! I also can't stop putting Radiohead's Black Star on repeat; what a great cover song choice. Love how VT and AW can just play off any sit...

My Medea seems to be the sub for Gravity in recent sets, which is fine with me. It's nice that Vienna can rest Gravity when she's at a venue where she expects lots of longtime fans, which seems to be what she is doing. This career juncture is an ideal time for her to cycle through some of her earli...
