Re: Paul/The Man in Blue

So sad to hear this. Was wondering where he was at the recent WCL show. I hung out with The Man at numerous shows. He was a lovely person.

I would definitely recommend seeing "This Is It" on the big screen... preferably IMAX. No one put on a show like Michael and this is a rare glimpse at a master's creative process. Even though this is rehearsal footage, it's brilliant and fascinating to watch. Despite being sued and taken a...

Although I'm not crazy about outdoor concerts, I'm looking forward to a solo show...it's been a while and I love Vienna solo.

I have to say I'm pretty distraught over Michael Jackson's death. He brought so much joy and happiness to the world, and was brought down by greedy opportunists and a sensationalist media who doesn't care about the truth. In my opinion, Michael was the greatest entertainer who ever lived. I can't im...

Hi Scot! Life's good now that there's a new Vienna album! Hope all's well with you! Yes, Vienna's booking bigger venues in Philly now and it's bittersweet. I was spoiled by the more intimate venues. I guess I knew this day would come. She surprised me by coming out to sign cds since most artists pla...

One of my very favorites, Nothing Without You, is right up there. I think it's deeply sad...and beautiful. I just listened to six different live versions of it and was thinking how sad it was when I came across this thread...weird. And while we're on the subject, for all you sad lovers, I'd recommen...

I haven't been to a Vienna show in a while so it was great to hear most of the new songs for the first time at this show. I'm a huge Kaki King fan and appreciate her use of loopers, pedals, etc. so it was cool to see Vienna using this stuff. I would love to see Vienna and Kaki perform live together ...

I suggest road tripping to the Philly burbs tomorrow. I'm sure the Keswick show still has tix as it's a pretty big venue.

It was May 2003 and I was in the car. I caught the last few minutes of an interview with Vienna and David Dye on Live At The World Cafe . David asked Vienna about her name and age. I remember thinking Vienna was an awesome name and how she sounded like someone much older than 23. I don't think I eve...

Wow! Just got home from the Kaki King show... Freakin' Awesome! She was with a full band and it was a two hour show...I can't tell you the last time I saw a show that long. Anyway, Kaki's playing in Baltimore tomorrow night at the 8x10 (amazing opportunity to see her in a tiny space) and in DC the f...
