I was probably at that same "Jay Show". It was my first also. I just couldn't believe the amount of music that one man and six guitar srtings can produce. It sounded like a whole symphonic orchestra to me. I too was shocked about the Hootie thing. Jump are damned fine guys and I can't imag...

Jay Clifford, the lead singer and song writer for Jump, Little Children, is in her band. He told me, after a show, he toured with her last summer and I see him in at least one picture from the Opera House. He's given credit for co-writing "Ten Days" where he is listed as James Major Cliffo...

Interesting story about the music industry

I discovered this band, Jump Little Children, and Vienna about the same time on Radio Paradise in 2002. Jump has recently called it quits despite having a voracious following of devoted fans who would do anything within their power to stop it. I found the story sad but enlightening and maybe others ...

Hope to be there with my daughters.

I've been there once. Small small venue but very quaint. Perfect for a VT concert. Be nice to see people hanging from the rafters so she'll have motivation to come back.

Walnut Creek is extremely hyper about recording equipment. I believe she played on one of the stages that are outside the main area but inside the gates (someone who was actually there can correct me if I'm wrong). Unfortunately, they have people at the gates poised to search any kind of bag you're...

Does anyone know how this format works? Walnut Creeks states that the Deep South performers appear before and during intermission. During intermission? That sounds strange..... Does anyone know if there's reserved seating for the Deep South stage or is it all general seating? This isn't my favorite ...

Vienna,

Can you tell us a little about your musical development as a child? When did you start playing? Do you have an earliest memory that you would like to share? How did writing music happen to you? Any major influences? Were you a Suzuki method student?

Thanks,

Bob

...not a frequent topic of conversation....I actually felt myself blush when I saw that Vienna responded. Then I reminded myself, "This is the internet stupid. Just a bunch of minute electromagnetic charges sent to my browser then formatted and displayed on my screen." Why should I blush? I fear I m...

I recommend that you all spend a little time browsing this record companies web site. It's primarily of the "rock-n-roll" ilk but if that's not neccessarily for you don't let it put you off. Think Beatles, Moody Blues, Jethro Tull, you know - GOOD rock-n-roll with a fresh, somewhat hip, interpretati...
