On March 11, Vienna and her band played a house concert at Eric Cheng’s loft in Oakland. This “public rehearsal,” as Vienna called it, included four brand-new songs and plenty of surprises. The whole thing was captured on tape, and now you can watch the Quicktime streaming video online!
The concert was a benefit for three charitable organizations (International Red Cross, Big Brothers Big Sisters, and Sea Shepherd) and was a rousing success. In the same spirit, we’re asking for a donation to Doctors Without Borders to watch the show online. It’ll be available through April 15, so the sooner you donate, the longer you’ll have access. A very special thanks to Eric Cheng for proposing the whole idea and working on every aspect of the project: coordinating, videotaping, editing and testing — and, of course, performing! Thanks also to Eric Miller, our fearless webmaster, for setting up the video stream and the donation/password-generation system; Jim Batcho for all his work on recording and editing; Adam Tow for his camera work; and Victor A. at Apple for his generous help with Quicktime compression.
